Nautilus Mooloolaba

Great location and management were accommodation with a late check-in at short notice. We were very happy to get a place at short notice, but it’s very expensive for what you get. Strange threatening warning signs around the place about not turning the temperature on the fridge down at risk of destroying the fridge and being charged (even though the freezer doesn’t actually freeze properly!) or not letting steam set off the fire alarms in the bedrooms (at risk of a hefty fine in case of emergency services call-out). The kitchen was well stocked with utensils etc, which was nice. In the GF apartments at least, the bedroom windows only open a tiny bit but it would be nice to have fly screens for summer midges. Also couldn’t figure out how to use the wifi with the set top box to connect Netflix. Probably my own issue, but would be nice to have some instructions on these things.

Location is great, however our room (on level 1) overlooked the back / side streets of the hotel and the noise from garbage trucks / children below screaming in their hot tub / roadworks etc., was really loud and started early in the morning and woke us up. Facilities were good - small kitchenette, newly renovated bathroom, 2 x bedrooms, nice 'lounge area' and a lovely balcony - the noise was just a real nuisance. We also had a problem with the water overflowing outside one of the bedrooms late at night, which warranted us contacting the owners to take a look. Gushing noise was right near the bedhead of the bed and we were unable to sleep. Problem was rectified quickly and owners were grateful for being advised of the problem. I've stayed here before but stayed in a 2 bedroom unit overlooking the marina and surf club - much nicer room, further up, less noise. Owners are lovely people to chat with and helpful with information / directions as well. Pool was lovely (cold), spa was lovely and warm. Didn't partake in any food at the hotel during our stay, so can't comment on that. Short of trying to cut back some of the noise from the back streets - it was a pleasant visit.

We booked directly with this property and the managers did their absolute best to fit us in on the dates we wanted. Lovely apartment, fully stocked, clean, tidy and outlook to the pool area. We were on the 3rd floor. Top location in Mooloolaba, just few minutes walk to the shops, bus stop or beach and park areas. Highly recommended to all types of travellers,

Get in early and ask for upgraded apartments. Position is spectacular and building is safe and convenient to restaurants,bars and activities. Walking distance to everything you need for a spectacular restful holiday

Great place in the heart of Mooloolaba. Only a few meters to the beach, cafes, dining. Great value experience for the family and friends. Park the car and walk in paradise. Maureen and Steve are very helpful and great hosts.

What a fantastic area and the staff are so great and friendly. I’m sure they have some horror stories of some guests. Penthouse 59 is perfect for a solo getaway and at not much extra in price , it’s a safe area and the building has front and rear access with restaurants and shops on both sides. Building was clean and managers friendly and helpful if your the same. I work in service and treat people well and you will be treated the same. Unreasonable people stay home don’t ruin others holidays.

Absolutely abhorrent! Booked 12 mounts out , then 1 week before , discovered our booking had been changed and apartment in available! Had to then have 2 appartments at a much higher cost . Then charged 25 dollars for sheets for sofa bed which did not turn up for 2 days .had to change appartments mid stay and told too bad would rather loose the booking. Service and attitude deplorable , management staff should be ashamed of their behaviour . Nothing but constant drama , definitely not recommended , would do better staying in a motel. Rated 0.5 out of 10 , a true disgrace .

What a fantastic location, staff helpful and friendly. The rooms are value for price and most are updated. If you ask for upgraded room you will get if available. The rooms have smoke alarms and as they are smaller you just need to close laundry door which is no bother to most smart people. It’s a great price for area.

Many good reviews must be fake, wished I had of read the reviews before we went, lesson learnt. Agree with the other low reviews (filthy, dusty, rusty, old, trip hazards etc etc etc) . We have stayed in many places, even low grade places in Bali rate higher than this place. Add paying for extra toilet paper while paying top$, face washers only by request, to scared to cook incase you set off an alarm that you will be charged for, risking serious injury getting into the shower. We were determined that this place will not ruin our holiday as it is a great location. 2 alarms in 3 days gave us a chance to talk to other residents and none we spoke to were happy. Young receptionist and maintenance man Troy I think were the only lovely staff. Will return to Mooloolaba but give the tired, dirty old Nautilus a miss.
